Komedia grozy, nawiązującą do klasyki horroru, m.in. do powieści Frankenstein Marry Shelly oraz filmów Drakula i Nosferatu. Aby odczytać niektóre odniesienia, wystarczy napisać imiona i nazwiska bohaterów: Victora Frankensteina czy Elsy van Helsing. 

Frankenweenie powstał na podstawie aktorskiego krótkiego metrażu Tima Burtona z 1984 roku. Na rozszerzoną wersję filmu publiczność czekała prawie 30 lat. Było warto! Produkcja z 2012 roku to technologiczny fenomen – pierwszy pełnometrażowy film animowany nakręcony w całości czarno-biało techniką poklatkową i jednocześnie stworzony w 3D.

This time, we're taking you into the extraordinary world of Tim Burton. On the big screen, you’ll see Frankenweenie – a horror comedy that pays homage to classic horror, including Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, and films like Dracula and Nosferatu. Some of the references are easy to spot – just look at the names of the characters: Victor Frankenstein or Elsa van Helsing. 

Frankenweenie is based on a live-action short film by Tim Burton from 1984. Audiences waited nearly 30 years for the full-length version – and it was worth it! The 2012 production is a technological marvel – the first full-length animated feature shot entirely in black and white using stop-motion, and also created in 3D.
